Dr. AJITH. K.

Dr Ajith’s main research interests are crop weather relationship, crop simulation modelling and remote sensing. Developed technology for Integration of DSSAT crop simulation model and remote sensing products for rice yield prediction. Acting as Nodal Officer for Gramin Krishi Mausam Seva Project which includes preparation and dissemination of Agromet Advisory Bulletins making use of crop weather relationship and medium range weather forecast from IMD. Acting as a resource person for climate change adaptation and mitigation. He has published 5 research articles, 4 book chapters and 20 popular articles.

Best oral presentation award in National Seminar AGMET2020 held at Thrissur from 20th to 22nd January 2020 for the research paper “Rice yield prediction by integration of CERES-rice crop simulation model and MODIS LAI (MOD15A2)”.
